This figures shows that a third of 1011year olds and over a fifth of 45year olds were overweight or obese(National Child Measurement Programme, 2012). Additionally, other data also showsthat appropriaretely 30% of childrenaged between 2 15were either classified as overweight or obese and this number is increasing in the population ofadolescents(health survey for England, 2014).SUMMARY OF REVELANT LITERATUREThe World Health Organisation has labelled child obesity as one of the main health issues in the 21st century (PublicHealth England, 2015). Data indicates that the population of children with the most excess weight fall between in 45and1011year olds. 33.5 % of children aged 1011were obese or overweight and 22.6% children aged 45were obese oroverweight.
