??????Instructions to students
You have been asked to advise a large organisation that employs over 100,000 employees worldwide. Each year the organisation carries out a graduate recruitment programme – recruiting around 100 graduates. The organisation has carried out an analysis of the recruitment over the past three years and has found that 83% of those recruited were men, 78% were of white British ethnic origin, 0.9% had disabilities and 96% were in the age range 21-25 years.
The organisation is surprised by this, as it promotes a strong equal opportunities policy. It is also concerned, because it has heard about the benefits of having a diverse workforce, and this is clearly not diverse. You have been asked to advise on the following points:
Why might this profile of recruits have occurred?
What should the organisation do to ensure that a more diverse workforce is recruited?
Your group needs to produce the following:
1. Fromthegroup: APowerPointpresentationandaccompanyingnotes that would support a 60 minute presentation to a group of managers. (Accompanying notes up to 1500 words)
2. Individual: You should submit an individual evaluation of your own contributions to the work of the group (including those you made using the VLE discussion board), including an assessment of what you have learned about the implications of the Equality Act (2010) for organizations. (up to 500 words)
Please note that you are only required to produce the documents listed above and will not physically deliver a group presentation as part of the assessment.
