• Individual debate report on either a PR campaign or crisis management strategy for an organisation – 1,000 words .
• You are asked to produce a short debate report that critically evaluates a public relations campaign or a crisis management strategy adopted by a private, public or voluntary sector organisation of your choice.
• You need to analyse the campaign and provide examples of why the strategy and approach adopted was successful or unsuccessful, including justification of its strengths and weaknesses within your evaluation.
• The word count for this task is 1,000 words, worth 20% of the final mark. One hard copy (in at least 12 point type on 1.5 line spacing)

• you can chose a case from PR Week (I will attached some artcles from PR week newpaper), but you need to attach the original PR Week story as an appendix to your work (not included in the word count)
• you cannot choose a case study from the Regester & Larkin textbook

Remember :
• 1,000 words is very tight for this assessment.
• Use the active voice
• Don’t just describe
• It’s a report, so use lists, numbers and bullet points rather than the continuous prose of an essay
• Show me you really understand what PR is all about

– What would you have done differently?
If you choose a Crisis

• Evaluate the level of damage limitation
• Remember that nothing ever goes away – it merely becomes a Dormant Issue
• Assess what else was going on in the news cycle and news agenda at the same time – were they perhaps a bit lucky?
• However, remember that hindsight is a perfect science, so be honest with your assessment
