You will therefore need to include details of the methods employed in addition to the scientific findings reported in the literature. You will need to include both data acquisition information such as: the radiotracers being used and their radiochemical specifications; a description of the runtime procedure for the scans, e.g. specifying the tracer administration, length of the acquisition, types of scans (transmission, emission, auxiliary CT or MRI scans) and the acquisition and processing of any non-PET data that will be required for the interpretation of the PET data such as blood sampling and radio-metabolite analysis;and data processing such as: how the images are reconstructed and any image processing such as smoothing that may occur; image segmentation such as ROI delineation; any kinetic modelling and/or statistical analyses that may be appropriate for the particular scenario.It is suggested that this second part is well structured with appropriate use of tables and figures to convey what will be done.
